The Talladega Superspeedway is the 34th race of the 2025 NASCAR schedule. We normally see the most lead changes for this race as any on the calendar. Probably the most famous year for wrecks was in 2029 when only half of the field was still in it by the end of the race.

• The Talladega Superspeedway is NASCAR’s longest oval track at 2.66 miles

• Talladega is 0.16 miles longer than both the  Daytona International Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
• Legend has it that the race track was built on ancient Indian burial grounds and has been cursed by the “Talladega Jinx” ever since.
• Talladega was first called the Alabama International Motor Speedway. 
• The Superspeedway’s name was changed to Talladega Superspeedway in 1989.
